Unique Beach Wedding Concepts
By Leah Pisay
Planning a wedding has never been easy. Even if you hire a wedding planner, the couple - or the bride, in particular - still has to look into the details of the preparation to ensure that every element fits the grand design you have in mind. The task of having to organize an event that will forever be etched in the memory of the people dear to you can be overwhelming. Luckily, though, there are a lot of unique ideas for couples planning to have the most magical beach wedding. These wedding concepts also offer brides and grooms different ways to inject their personal interests.
Underwater or Scuba Wedding
Couples who are fond of scuba diving or have met through this activity may find an underwater wedding a perfect option for them. This is one of the ways to somehow show appreciation to this unique form of recreation. Although most of the guests may have to stay at the shore or on the boat, they can still enjoy the concept by receiving miniature scuba sets as souvenirs. If you can afford it, rent a glass-bottomed boat so the guests can see you exchange vows and kiss underwater. You have to consider, though, how many of your guests will mostly likely experience seasickness during the ceremony. You have the option, of course, to just have someone take photos or a video of what happens underwater and share the images to the guests during reception.
Surf Wedding
Those who love to surf may have to settle on doing the ceremony at shore, and probably just surf a big wave after. Exchanging vows while surfing a big wave may not be really feasible as both of you are moving. Besides, it would really be difficult to find an officiant who would be willing to surf with you. To keep with the theme, the groom and his groomsmen may wear surfboard cufflinks while the bride and her bridesmaids may use surfboard hairclips. Surfboard Cufflinks and hairclips are also good wedding souvenirs to be distributed to guests at the reception.
Pirate Wedding
After Captain Jack Sparrow invaded the big screen, pirate-themed events are now actually cool. If you are one of those couples who watched, enjoyed and followed the Pirates of the Caribbean series, why not consider becoming Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann for a day? Have treasure chests and gold coins scattered in the venue. Arrive in costume and ask guests to do the same. One of the most interesting wedding souvenir options would, of course, be small replicas of the Heart of Davy Jones! Replicas of Jack Sparrow's pirate beads, Hector Barbossa's pendant or Elizabeth Swann's coin are also good souvenirs choices.
Whichever concept you may choose, some basic wedding ideas can be added here and there to create the perfectly unique beach wedding for you. Put sailboat place card holders on the table. Use dolphin bottle openers. Have starfish frosted glass coasters. Serve mini rum cakes for dessert. These little details will add up to offer a uniquely beautiful beach setting.Source URL: http://weddingdressez.blogspot.com/2010/01/beach-wedding-dresses.html
