wedding love: a colourful bicycle wedding

The wedding of Derek and Rebecca is so fabulous and fun. Their colourful bicycle wedding is so unique and an expression of the them, and just shows how creative weddings can be!

The couple ask their guests to 'dress to impress, but to wear comfortable clothing' and bring sunglasses and sunscreen. They surprised everyone with bicycles and helmets. Each guest got to decorate their bicycles with a collection of balloons, flags, markers, tape and streamers and rode to the lunch picnic! Some of the girls even made fabulous crepe-paper corsages and fascinators.

For favours, and to fit in with the bicycle theme, guests were given personalised water bottles. How fabulous was the rainbow balloon arch to mark the start of the bicycle journey?

For guests to enjoy their picnic there was sweet vintage blankets as picnic blankets and silhouette recycled paper trays.

My favourite part of the day was guests rode to an ice-cream store with the couple for a build-your-own ice-cream sandwich dessert! Yum! They were each given a 'good for one' ice-cream sandwich voucher to enjoy.

sunday love: sweet diy ideas

detail love: thankful for friends

It's always fun to spend an afternoon with your closest friends sipping tea and eating delicious treats. Why not make it a 'Thankful for Friends' themed party.

This sweet party took place on a lovely autumn afternoon in the backyard of the hosts, Rosie and Rosella. Their friends were welcomed with lavender scented rice sachets favours adorned with their names. The girls set up a rustic table and chairs decorated with vintage floral ceramics, autumn foliage and berry bouquets, and worn quilts and pillows.

Each guest was presented with a beautiful fabric napkin tied with twine and embellished with cinnamon sticks and berries. There was a yummy selection of homemade treats including brownies, pumpkin tarts, apple pies and chocolate chip cookies, each with cute little flags or handwritten tags.

The girls also created a fantastic photobooth with a romantic canopy, a rustic daybed, throw cushions, vintage props and fun moustaches on sticks! This idea could be easily adapted for a fun wedding photobooth.
